I was thinking in series... I was really just trying to avoid buying more batteries lol... I have a stack of 18650's and I am only using them one at a time atm... lol
Gday All,
I'm after someone to make up an adapter to use 3 x 18650's in a 3 x D cell host.
Basically I am going to use this host Portable High Power Titanium Alloy Bodyguard Outdoor 1-Mode Flashlight(3 x D Batteries), Australia - DinoDirect.com for my next 445nm build and I want to use 3 x...
I assume his driver is this one or one similar 1W 445nm laser diode driver / 200mW 405nm laser diode driver [OL-445-D] - $12.00 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce
Try a host like this c6 Aurora C6 *mirror polished* Host & Heat Sink [MIRC6] - $39.99 : Cajunlasers Store
Or take a look at jayrob's host kits here: http://laserpointerforums.com/f39/jayrob-build-kits-lenses-other-stuff-listed-here-44227.html
Alternatively, there are plenty of 18650...
Congrats Mate... Best feeling ever... My lil boy is 6 months old now... Missus found out she was preggers just about 3 months after I lost my arm at work!!!
I can cut a small piece of copper for you to use as a heatsink and trust me... DTR's microboosts are worth the money... I have 2 m140's with the microboosts from DTR and I couldn't be happier with them. :) Cheers DTR btw :bowdown:
Well, most drivers are rated to around 15V input, but the reason I asked was because with 1x 18650 you would need a buck driver where as 2 or more 18650 you could get away with a linear driver instead.
As for safety concerns with a hand held... All you have to do is be responsible, don't leave...
