CLOSED * GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear

Re: GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear 5mW is only safe because you'll blink within 1/4 of a second when exposed. Safety goggles should be spec'd to reduce to 1mW or less as that is the safe level for prolonged exposure. In that case, the formula is a simple log base 10 of the mW to...

CLOSED * GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear

Re: GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear That's backwards. The KRY is 10% and the ARG is 48% VLT. The ML7 is fine for low-power green that may or may not be IR-filtered, but I wouldn't use it for anything over 200mW because OD 2.5 isn't going to cut it.

WTB WickedLasers saftey glasses for 445nm

    I've got them, it's not.

CLOSED * GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear

Re: GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear Yeah... That's not even close to what I see. Zooming in and counting pixels (40px between 400nm & 500nm, 445nm should be at 18px) puts the rating at ~3, maybe a decimal point or two higher, but considering that it's on the steep downward slope...

Re: GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear ARG if you use 405nm, 445nm, and 532nm (IR filtered). YLW if you use 405nm & 445nm and want higher visible light transmission.

Re: GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear The people who lived here before me had their son in this room. He had an iguana or something like that and as such there is a strange border around the middle of the room with lizards, snakes, etc. I've no idea what the point of the splatter...

    Battery advice

I bought a pair of these: AW 18650 Protected 2600 mAh Rechargeable Lithium Battery - New Version ... and this charger: Ultrafire WF-139 Charger for 14500 / 17500 / 18500 / 18650 / RCR123 3.7 volt Lithium Battery Charger ... for my 18650 jayrob build. Very happy so far. If you've got more...

CLOSED * GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear

Re: GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear Alright, here you go, these are with my 405nm. Ignore the messy closet, the strange paint in the room (the house came with the room painted this way) and the fact that the glasses don't entirely cover the lens. I've attached two pics without and...

CLOSED * GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear

Re: GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear Eh, actually, they're a lot brighter than I mentioned. I just took the front of the laser apart and it looks like there was a little crap on the front of the diode that was blocking part of the light (looks like teflon tape from the lens that is...

CLOSED * GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear

Re: GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear I've got a set of ARG. I can see the focused point from my 400mA 405nm unless there is direct sunlight on the same spot. Given that the eyes are more sensitive to 445nm than 405nm, these new diodes should have a very visible point unless they...

    445nm Goggles

Re: Feeler: Protection goggles for new 445nm diodes I've got a set of ARG glasses. With my 400mA 405nm (unknown power, no meter, probably in the 500-550mW range) I can clearly see the focused dot on the wall in a lit room with the shades drawn (just the point though, no scatter around it, and...

Gizmodo advertise WL 445nm Spyder III

My 2 cents: $200 for a 1W laser is idiotic. These things are a safety issue and should be sold at a much higher price, regardless of build cost, to keep them out of the hands of idiots. $200 for a 1W laser is awesome and I just ordered one. I'm honestly not sure what I'm going to do with it...

FS: 18650 Build Kit! Easy Assembly! 445nm, Blu-ray, or Red...

Re: FS: 18650 Build Kit! Easy Assembly! Blu-ray or Red... I just realized that I hadn't posted back here after my kit arrived and I finished the build. Everything went smoothly and the laser works as expected. jayrob set mine at 400mA with the MicroBoost but I've no idea what the power output...
