Why does DragonLasersFanMan continually advocate that it is safe to handle high-power class IIIb's for burning, indoors, without wearing eye protection? Has anyone had a chat with him? Is he on this forum? IMO, he is inadvertently providing a "comfort blanket" for those who may not be familiar...

I've seen nothing to indicate problems on 64-bit machines, and can't think of a reason that there would be any. You should never point a laser at your eyes, especially one that can burn things. An IR filter will not change this. All laser light at levels that can burn things is dangerous. It is recommended to wear goggles with any laser greater than 5mW.
