    1.6W 445nm Ehgemus w/battery+glasses

I built this laser a while back, it has a few hours on it. It still performs excellently. I'll be selling it with a GITD dust cap, a 18650 battery, safety glasses, and if you need a charger i'tll add a wee bit. It can stay on for several minutes before getting warm, has amazing battery life, and...

Buiding my first laser, need help!

yes, but you still need to buy a flashlight host. dealextreme SKU 3405, and im sure jayrob has some too. the glasses might be cheap, but search for some reviews. a 100mW PHR doesn't need $50 glasses unless you're just going to be an idiot while using it. they really do get the job done, my 1.6W...

Buiding my first laser, need help!

the phr is a great first build. your driver has had some difficulty in the past regarding hooking it up- this review should put you on the right track. the MXDL is available cheaper on dealextreme, but the shipping can be a bitch. a heatsink isnt CRUCIAL for a phr (you could get by with some...

clearly :D does anybody actually understand that?? and what do you do for a living if you do?

    Highest possible temperature

isn't that when the vibrating molecules that are indicative of heat reach the speed of light? im curious about this too. LETS DO SOME MATH!!! and lets do it with lasers. i choose a crazily overdriven 445nm :) at a PERFECTLY focused point, the wavelength of a light wave would be the minimum...

    1.6W Ehgemus 14650 Pen Host W/Dual Flexdrives

Re: Ehgemus 14650 Pen Host -- 780mW 445nm -- is it just me or are ehgemus hosts becoming as common as the flashlight-heatsink hosts? must be the great heatsinking for the 445s, or the polished look, or the great clicky...

Ahhh, i love the smell of 445 in the morning... [PIC HEAVY]

the way the host is built, the driver is within an aluminum tube that touches the sides and the front. it's adhered to THAT, im not sure if that counts :D it still goes through driver-penny-pill-host, and works pretty well. not quite as well as it would when adhered to the host, i guess. its a...

UPDATE- i took DTR's advice and did the coin mod. :thanks: works like a charm, but a little expensive for me :D heres the guts! before- (don't kill me all those awesome laser builders... :yabbem: ) and here's the much improved after, before affixing everything to everything else. great advice.

    A-150 445nm Driver coin Heat-sink build

thats a nice soldering station :) i wonder when someone *coughDTRcough* is going to see how far these can be pushed, vs. the a-140's and a-130's, as well as efficiency. very clean build!

Ahhh, i love the smell of 445 in the morning... [PIC HEAVY]

DTR- i'm going to try that tonight. thanks!! flaminpyro- PM sent. the dust cap was in the path of the beam, about 8 inches away. laser + dust cap =/= flashlight. i wish it did though, because that would be a pretty cool laser/flashlight...
