I have just got another CD-RW drive and would really appreciate some advice.
The model is LTR-52327S, unit is made by LITE.ON CORP and the speed is
52x32x52x.
Can any one tell me if the diode would be suitable for using.
Thanks Lasersbee. I did find that info myself using a google search. I said that i could not find any info about this drive on this forum. Maybe i should have made my self clearer,i was asking
if the diode in this drive would be suitable and powerful enough to use in a build.
Thanks for your reply.
I have looked for info about this drive LG GSA-4081B DVD but cant find anything on the forum. Can anybody tell me if this is worth harvesting? Many thanks.
I have managed to go through the diodes and the first two i tried were the reds. I snapped the first one as the pins were very sort but the second one i have hooked up to the driver and it works really well. The info regarding the irs from RA_pierce seems to be good as the other diodes have...
Im going to have a go at sorting them tomorrow. With the ir diodes, how much does the ir spread? Also, i have a housing with a lens that i could put each diode into before powering up. Would this help contain the spread of the ir?
I will try them out this weekend. Im a bit concerned about the ir danger. I have some red laser googles.will these be okay for protection? If not, what precautions could i take, apart from getting some ir glasses?
The strips from all 4 of them, from both drives seem the same thickness. But i have now discovered that two of them have two pins and the other two have three pins. i Couldnt tell straight away as the solder on the pins was so much.
