I have a 100mw green laser that I want to experiment with. I saw online that I could take a laser diode out of a laser to make it stronger. I tried everything I could to take the diode out but I was not successful. Any thoughts??
yes there are plenty but are they as strong as they say they are? im worried about that part....i dont wanna pay big bucks for something thats half the power...even if it is half the power when i get it there is no way for me to know because i dont have a reader...!!! there is no way of knowing...
yes its hard for me...ive never soldered anything in my life... at the same time i dont know where to get a spring from....id rather have the spring ready installed.
what about this....

suppose i get this module, what do i need to do with it to work besides soldering a wire instead of the switch to make it ON. what do i do with these wires that are hanging out?
I got the module out guys but did some serious damage in the process. the module is trashed and now there is no use for it. its a big hassle to use the host because there is a lot of hard glue left over in the host after i took out the module and heat sink.
I made the decision to buy a host...
Yes thats a good idea... i want to try to save the module and take it out from the back with the screw driver and hammer technique. if that doesn't work then ill try your idea.
did the shipment arrive....can i see the host and modules you got? if you don't mind of course.
i checked out the eBay link you sent me and the seller has a 200mw green laser for 80$.... is it ligit 200mw or much less because i don't trust Chinese sellers anymore.
i understand a lot more now.... ok i have a question.. i dont care if i damage the heat sink or the module because ill get new ones... all ill have is the host. do you know where i can find a heat sink that can work in my laser? do you also know where i can find a 12mm 200mw module green? im...
i just realized this host is a pain in the ass. my plan is to take the module with the heat sink out first... remove the module from the heat - sink. file the heat sink a little bit and go from there. im sure it will make it easier to put back in with the new module... easier said than dont but...
