Received the Cree in the mail... quite pleased in the quality. It has a nice clean, deep blue spot as well as some real burning power!
Thanks weidmark!
A good price for what I expect would be a great laser based on my satisfaction with the last one I bought from you (a SAIK in spring of 2011)... consider me interested...
Yes, there is an ultrafire 32600 which intact kaidomain sells. It is only 4000 mAh as opposed to the other one which is 5000 and I'm guessing, a tad bit smaller since you imply it fits without hassle.
Thanks for the pictures. I suppose I will just have to try the 26650. The 32600 that I have (ultrafire brand) is just slightly too wide in diameter to fit but without protective plastic coating, fits just fine.
I must say, this is a beautiful build and a elegant and compact host. I am using the 32600 battery with it but this is not quite a perfect fit since the protective wrapping had to be removed. Although the paint on the interior is enough to insulate the battery, I partially re-covered the...
Totally interested in this laser for sale, but I would need to see some more of this particular specimen. Specifically I would like to see everything in proper working order and if there are no missing components.
If it is merely tinkering that you want to do, you might consider using the LM317 regulator. It can be configured to act as a voltage with a couple of resistors and can also be setup to act as a current regulator. Here is a simple calculator. Try to find a datasheet on your particular diode...
I did not have the heatsink tightened properly for a 1W 808nm diode. When I noticed the through current drop as well as the output power, I immediately turned off the source and investigated the diode housing to find it was quite hot to the touch. It was not produced a worthwhile output since.
