wanna buy a new 200mw red laser

Maybe you should go for this O-like red laser instead. It uses only one unprotected 18650 battery, which is safer than 2 unprotected in serial. It also comes with a battery and a charger (although crappy ones).

wanna buy a new 200mw red laser

Your charger seems to over-charge the batteries... Anything above 4.20V is over-charged, which will shorten the life of the battery, or even make it vent.

Just Ordered O-Like New Style Waterproof Red Laser 200mW

It's a bit different to have two unprotected li-ion cells in serial, than just having one cell. The chance of a short-circuit is a lot greater for once. I really don't understand why the manufacturers don't make the lasers to fit protected cells. Especially when a lot of people who buy the...

Just Ordered O-Like New Style Waterproof Red Laser 200mW

Yeah, the AW cells are definitely quality cells, even if they are made in China. But, I ordered this laser just a couple of days ago, and asked Susie if you can fit protected cells in the laser, since they're a bit longer than unprotected, and she said they might be too long to fit... So if...

    Confused About chargers

When a rechargeable li-ion battery is 100% full, it's voltage is always 4.20V. If it's above that, then it's over-charged. But long as it doesn't go over 4.25V, it's not that big of a deal. Of course with the protected cell it should never go above 4.20V in the first place, unless the protection...

    Confused About chargers

That charger is considered by many (on CPF at least), to be the best of the cheap li-ion chargers. I also got one and am very pleased with it. It does cut-off the charge at 4.20V too. Although I still wouldn't charge unprotected cells on it. Oh yeah, and don't forget to buy a DMM, so you can...

Just Ordered O-Like New Style Waterproof Red Laser 200mW

I just noticed that on O-Like too. I've been hesitant to get the Dilda, since it uses two unprotected li-ion cells in serial. But this is just what I've been looking for; a cheap, focusable and powerful red laser, that uses one 18650 li-ion! :takeit:

    O-like, or Rayfoss???

Is this the laser host? I've been thinking of getting one and putting the O-like 90-100mW green laser module in it. Far as I know, it should fit in the host? Are the host and the module (and the battery) all I need, for the laser to work?
