my x65 has some poor alignment. the laser itself works fine but the projected beam is at quite a noticable angle to the body of the laser. is this common?

didnt u say in your review of the Kai50 that u could focus the beam? how is the divergence after focusing it?

yeah i think it was the batteries running low, but, the next few times my batts went low there wasnt any mode hopping. just kept getting dimmer and dimmer. hmm strange :-? well if its a one off thing (which i hope it is) then its all good :) im planning to get a hulk or a ppl for my next laser...

i have an x-65 too with pretty good specs and i can light unsharpied matches without a lens but i dont think u can fry bugs with it. you might have a chance if the beam is steady and the bug is dead still lol. if you have a lens to focus the beam you might have more luck. see what you can do...

okay! now i have some questions... lighting matches takes a while, sometimes up to 20 seconds without the collminating lens. is that due to the voltage of the rechargables and/or cheap matches? (they are pretty cheap lol) and also, it started mode hopping a bit. im not familiar with the...
