For anyone interested, here's a quick drawing of what I found to work with all 3 hosts I have here.. I did manage to scuff one up in the process.. not sure how or when it happened.. but it will be capped with one of the smooth focus knobs .. so it shouldn't be noticeable... Thanks again :)

sink measurements as follows .. And yeah .. I'd like to think that everyone will be understanding .. this is the fault of the suppliers of the hosts (or us as buyers for not doing our due diligence when purchasing the hosts) .. not Mrcrouse. It's a simple fix as you pointed out, and shipping...

Just noticed .. the largest OD (1st step) is too large to pass the threading of the retaining ring as well .. 1.66 vs. ~1.63. have tried various combinations of 3 hosts and 3 sinks.

OK .. It is the 1.550" OD of the heat sink that is the issue. The 1.555 ID of the host only extends to a depth of 0.15" on mine .. at which point it is reduced to 1.50". The 1.50" diameter extends to .9875" from the edge of the host (without the retaining ring). Looks like the 2nd step needs...

Mine just arrived .. Seeing the same issue here ... Mine has the same black retaining ring as the one shown in SixTee9's video .. It seems there are multiple variations of this host floating around .. It fits the outer diameter of the head perfectly .. however the diameter reduces a bit @ ~...

hmmm .. if we are stating a list .. add non-IR filtered 532's with no warning .. these seem to be everywhere ... If we're not .. just ignore this :p
