well the project that i want to do is probably a little to advanced for a noob at lasers like my self, but im no dummy.anyway, i want to make a laser that is capable of burning/hurting, or causing pain to skin ::) i was told that i would have to have a laser pointer that has several laser diodes...

well, i am not so good with schematics, and the parts do not cost much money, but i am very sceptecal on rather or not i am buying the right parts, and a reputable place to buy them from, but what i want is a high powerd portable red laser, powerful enough to burn through, say...skin? now i know...

i have taken apart cd burners, dvd burners, hard drives, and everything i can find...but i cant get the diode to work...i must have 13 different diodes, and none of which work...i am putting power directly to it...am i doing anything wrong...please help, i think im waisting alot of money...
