This laser package he is selling doesn't require any soldering, you could probably put it together in under 10 minutes, he's not copying yobresal at all, they just both make these lasers in the same host...

ok thanks for the reply, although i think 36 seconds is a little more than a few and i thought these diodes aren't the best quality. but if you say it's fine, that's good cus you know a lot more about lasers than i do!

i know, i didn't mean to do it, i'm sorry, blame my stupid internet, it wasn't loading and i eventually stopped it from loading so i don't know why it still posted!!!!! so then i went on a different computer and realized i might as well put it in the green lasers section! the general laser post...

after telling myself repeatedly that i wouldn't go over the duty cycle (30-60 seconds for this laser: www.rayfoss.com ) i accidentally did when i was video taping it. i just completely forgot about the duty cycle : / now i feel like one of those stupid noobs who doesn't know what he's doing...

ok thanks mike and dave (sigh of relief), i guess they probably wouldn't have these safety shutters if it damaged the laser if you shined it with it closed.

ok thanks for the quick reply. and there's absolutely no chance i burned the shutter at all cus it's black, but it looks like it's made out of metal and it was only on for a second, right?

i just received the RF532-200mW-FLX from www.rayfoss.com. When i was using it today i forgot the safety shutter wasn't opened and pressed the button for about a second, quickly realizing the shutter was closed. I was just wondering if that did any damage at all to the laser because of green...
