    my first blu ray build

well i have had this driver laying around for a bit now since my open can 20x died. this driver is the adjustable one and i dont feel like ordering another one if it is not necessary thanks dan :)

    my first blu ray build

ok so i ordered a phr-803t from drew on here. i am going to be running this diode with the rkcstr driver i was wondering is there anyway to calculate the current without a dummy load? thanks dan :)

    quick question

oo alright so it is perfectly safe to run the open can 20x diode at that current?

    quick question

so are you saying that running it at 420ma is bad or the 9v is bad?

    quick question

ok so i am going to be build a 20x dvd laser from the 20x diode from high tech dealz i am going to be using the adjustable rockstar driver is it safe to run that diode at 420ma with a 9v battery as its power source? thanks, dan

which is better to fit into a small host in your opinion

    red laser problems

i know a fair amount about the rkcsrt driver but what about the flexdrive ? do you need to run 2.25v above the diodes voltage or is that only with the rkcstr driver

    red laser problems

oo wow ok didnt know there were so many damn variables ..... thanks though now i am looking into either a 20x open can diode or a bluray 803t what driver, current and voltage should i run these at thanks

    red laser problems

ok so i am new here and i just burnt out a sony 16x dvd laser diode i bought this from stonetek and so i am wondering what would cause the diode to randomly burn out. i am well i was running this diode at 280ma because i wanted to be a little under the 300ma recommended current for these diodes...
