    Star Trek or Star Wars

I like 'em both. Prefer the old stuff to the new stuff though. Old Star Wars EP4/5/6 and Next Gen/TOS better than Voyager/DS9/Enterprise.

What is your internet connection speed?

30/1, AUD$70/month 12gb limit (i don't download much) I have got speed tests registering up to 34mb/s downloads, must be feeling a bit tired this morning. haha.

I can't believe that mIRC still exists? lol

    DVD compatability issues....

What region is the DVD ? Its probably PAL instead of NTSC for a start which will cause a problem for your stand alone player. Usually regional coding issues and PAL/NTSC format issues aren't a problem on a PC though unless the drive is locked.

    High voltage AAA batteries

How about some 3.6volt ones? or would that be "too high" ? 10440's should suit the bill.

    it almost makes me cringe!

I use desolder wick for most of the reworking i do, esp through hole stuff, but for some SMD stuff every now and again.

Suggestion needed P/S for 60,000mW laser..

LOL , nice use of a projector lens from a car.

    Just not cricket

Yup, i hope they catch the person that did it, or someone has amateur footage that helps them to find where it came from etc.

    Thermite

Container? for thermite? that stuff burns through metal safes let alone "containers". You seen the videos on youtube?

    DDL Circuit Values

More voltage in means more volts are wasted and burned up by the regulator (i.e it gets hot). You want to avoid having 12 volts in if it needs only 7.5v to reach regulation. I'd highly recommend getting a reasonably cheap multi meter than can measure current to accurately set your current using...

    Booster Drives

Just a note that the DDL driver is NOT a boost driver, hence requiring a higher voltage in than it will put out.

    Blu-Ray Goggles?

If you're playing with ANY laser that emits a powerful beam then you should be wearing goggles. Its not for protection from IR, its for protection from the very focused, very powerful light that if you get it in your eyes, either directly, or from an accidental reflection, could be very...

Jaycar - WTF - Big Ripoffs

They sell 10mw red bare diodes for almost as much as an LPC815 sled costs. haha Stuff is expensive, but when you need small quantities of small parts, its not exactly convenient to do an order from a large distributor. Just pray they don't go down like DSE and turn into selling all commercial...
