So when i need 300mA with 4 diodes, its 3.1V that i measure? (300mV + 2.8V for the diodes?)

Ok, so far i have all the components except the test load, But the parts are ordered. I have the 1N5408 diodes, and a 3W 1 Ohm resistor. I'll keep in touch.

i bought a resistor of 1 ohm, 3 watt. 3 watt should be enough for the test load right?

How many watts can your resistors handle? Problem is that i have only 1 ohm resistors @ 0.25 watt each. i think they are too light for testing isn't it?

Another question, when i have a source of 4.5 volts on the flexdrive, do i need to modify anything since the diode can handle like 3 volts or so?

In a local shop nearby me they have only the 1N4007 diodes (Diode 1000Volt 1Amp). Can i use that one also?

Hi, why are u using 6 diodes in your testload setup? I want to build my own also, but i'm new in this category and don't want to mess it up the first time :cool:

Can i build my own? Because i see more then one type testload, also selfmade by some people. Always need that 1 Ohm resistor i see, but how do i know if i set de flexdrive @ 300mA, the current is the same when i put on the diode? (sory i'm new with this)

Ok, so it's no problem. Just for the 1.5-2W 450nm diode as next project i will get one :) about tuning the flexdrive, is it ok to put a multimeter between the diode's lead to read and set my mA?

I already have the flexdrive so that's not an option, maybe for the second one on short notice. As far for the diode, i can't tell u for sure. What i do know is that it is a kipkay suitable from itechlasers, the 650nm 300mw. also bought a couple of flashlights for like 2 euro's (3 dollars)...
