I always thought those LIMO units were rated at 500W for pulse operation and are more like 100W CW/average power. If its true thats probably the best $/Watt on the market.
I messaged them, they say the item...
Hey guys, I have this laser diode as well.
I was able to cleave and strip the fiber with nothing more than a titanium nitride coated xacto knife and some steady hands... But I went through quite a few inches of fiber before I got the technique down.
I used this connector kit to terminate the...
I fried a NUBM06 diode a while ago, I always figured I overheated the diode while soldering it. Well today I was soldering some LED's under my cabinets and the strip lit up.. turns out my soldering iron was leaking voltage! 15v from tip to ground. Can that even be right?

Compared to a DIY CO2 laser cutter, this would be far easier...
No schematic, just a switch. Just a piece of metal that touches another. Push it halfway and the contacts touch, push it all the way they lock in place. Not all SPST switches are like this, some only turn on after the button is fully depressed and released.
My intended application is to make a laser rifle in the 40W range, duh ;)
No really, it is! I like the HALO video games, and the Railgun is my favorite weapon.
This is what it looks like when it fires.
I 3D printed the gun, made from 16 parts, which took over 250 hours of printing.. on draft...
Hello everybody!
Im trying to power a whole NUBM06 array. Im hoping to get some guidance, or maybe somebody already knows the perfect solution.
Each diode will take a max of ~5v and 4A. I could power the whole thing in series (40v, 5A) or power each diode individually. I need to be able to...
