This is sooo wrong (posible eydamage involved)

Update: Moritz Waldemeyer wrote to us to tell us that the lasers were harmless, perfectly "safe class 2M lasers that have been defocused for additional safety." OK, Moritz, but would they cure the blind like LED'ed breasts? I didn't think so.

Using lasers to measure water level

I am not a physics major or a university student and appreciate applying lasers to measure the quantity of water in a container.... However.. I'm just curious. Could you use a float on top of the water to reflect back the beam? or measure the deviation in vertical position of a float on top of...

    My First "Fog-Machine Experience"

Looking real nerdy, there, buddy! But anyway, aren't fog machines magical? If you haven't already, you have to make the liquid sky and time tunnel effects and dazzle your friends!! And props on the ancient iPod! I still rock a generation 3 and love it every day!

    Really really newb question...

mW = milliwatts. Which measures the power outputted from your laser, just like a light bulb in your house, however a light outputs INCOHERENT light (irradiating in all angles, so the light fills up your whole room.) While, on the other hand, a laser emits coherent light, where all the photons...

Where is it better to buy a Dilda, DX or O-Like?

Re: Where is it better to buy a Dilda, DX or O-Lik I just received an order from O-like. For an extra $5 you can get the batteries+charger shipped separately which apparently helps it pass through customs. Regardless, shipping was about 14 days and I'm so happy to have a Dilda. Note though...

Laser games and first person 3D laser graphics

First off, these videos are insanely cool and I wish you took some footage of the projection with fog! Do you already have the blu-ray lasers built into your scanner? Welcome to the forums, as well! I personally love games like Geometry Wars... On a big screen LCDTV it's hypnotising. With a...

Re: CNI GB starting I was quoted at $450 for PGL-III-635/200mW... Can't afford that though, bought a dilda. I'm buying a PGL-III-C-473/50mW /Unit USD770.00 after 2/2/2009, as CNI is taking a holiday until then and is not producing/shipping any lasers. I'll be placing my order in two weeks. If...

Help! AAA battery stuck inside DX Green

I'm not sure how it happened, but one AAA battery is stuck in the battery side of the laser. The flat side does not unscrew off that I can tell. The tube doesn't look bent. Shaking / slamming on the floor is not helping it get any further. Are there any tricks to remove the battery?
