Thanks for all the info. I guess that means that I will have to browse the forum on my computer instead of my IPad. I will try Google Chrome on my iPad and see if that makes any difference.

The attached is what I get occasionally when I try to view some members’ photos. I usually visit and use my smartphone or tablet. Any suggestions?

The wires were that twisted when I bought it. I finally released the diode and driver assembly from the heat sink with a pick like diachi mentioned. Can’t say it wasn’t a little unnerving though. They did a good job with the heat shrink tubing at the diode end. I plan on reassembling it today...

Here are two photos of the epoxy. I would normallly use chemical, mechanical or heat “persuasion” to loosen things, but not with electronics.

I have the same laser pointer. Any suggestion on how to take the driver board out without destroying it, as it held in with epoxy?

Finding resources like this is one of the reasons I became a member of this forum! It opens the possibility to build lasers that are unique.

I got the whole Pink Floyd thing set up already. I just need to have a laser projector and the smoke machine. I was given a high powered red LED with heatsink to act as the load when setting the current of the driver. My DMM was in series, power side, with the circuit.

DTR, While on LPF, I saw that there is a class of laser pointers that have a Mech mod as a component of the build. I went to your site and saw the picture for the the 12mm to 22mm adapter. It looks like it also has the adapter piece to connect to the Mech mod. Is that true or is it just for the...
