So I got everything set up and going... new diode in the housing... circuitry... and then I fire it up and focus the laser... and nothing. The diode I got is supposedly rated at 250mW but it obviously isn't going to push that much... at least 100mW though right? Well... I can't get it to light...
Re: how do I install the diode in the aixiz module
Well, I finally got the new diodes mounted (they are rated at 250mW @ 3.2V) and sadly... they won't do anything... Won't light matches... won't burn tape... nothing... how would I really know if that was the output of the laser?
Re: how do I install the diode in the aixiz module
So... I can't even get to this step because the diode that comes in the housing won't come out.
If I assume correctly, I would remove the lens and spring and push into the diode from the front end to pop it out right? After unscrewing the back...
When I ground out the inside of the reflector so the diode would fit (I don't know where to find that rubber thing they were showing), it no longer was long enough to apply the necessary force to the plastic plate when the top was screwed all the way down... anyone have any suggestions? I also...
