    On and off Power outputs.

Hello! It's been a very long time since I last signed in. I've had this on going problem and I could never seem to figure out whats going on. Problem: Laser pointer will produce 100mw's for a moment and then it dims down and then a high pitched frequency can be heard. It's not the diode...

    405nm PHR Lasers 110mA 100mw

Hello all! I built these lasers 2 years ago and they have been barely used. I felt that it would be better in another person's hands if they are going to use it. It feels like a waste for them to be just sitting around. Specs: Host: MDXL SKU 3405 + heat sink Diode: PHR-803T diodes...

    Acupuncture with 405nm lasers?

another one bites the dust.... I just love when people who don't know about lasers buys something for like 100+ for something like a PHR with the word kipkay stuck to it. Its such a shame how people make money off the people who lack basic understanding of what they are about to buy...

Question about lenses and Aixiz modules.

If I was going to heat it... wouldn't it destroy the mount? I really don't understand how its done, even looking at the picture.

Question about lenses and Aixiz modules.

I've used the search function couple of times before i posted this.... I was wondering how you change the lens on an aixiz lens mount. I dont see a way to open it or pop something out. The one on ebay is just a glass lens and no mount. So I'd need to swap the lens, at first I thought they'd...

    Acupuncture with 405nm lasers?

While I was looking to see if some prices dropped on ebay for 405nm stuff I came across this.... The New 405nm Violet Laser for Chiropractic Acupuncture - eBay (item 280500835123 end time Jun-30-10 10:31:21 PDT) Seems like someones found an acupuncture use for 405nm's or its just a placebo scam.

    Is AixiZ High?

I really love how when you slap kipkays name on it BOOM + 50 dollars and they are probably using the same ones from a PS3 sled if it spits out 30mw. Also the fact that a PHR is like 10 bucks lol and is much more better. Just gotta get a housing for like 5 dollars.

Another noob "should I buy..." thread

ok 1. buy your.... diode, host, driver, heatsink. thats all you need. oh and a pair of goggles if your doing something like 100mw's *you can have your driver set to what ever current you want. for a PHR pick a number from 110-125mA and tell the person who is selling you the driver to set it to...

Another noob "should I buy..." thread

or just build one yourself. It isnt as hard as people make it sound. If you want a burning one I recommend a PHR if you want a basic one.

    Phr build!!

you know you dont need the barrel *which is the long part*.... just press your diode into the housing *the top* and have your driver connected to your diode.

help, first time laser buyer need help

if your looking for a some what visable laser that kinda cheap, go for a PHR build. diodes are about 10-20 dollars *depends who you buy it from* I got mine for $15 housed from Dave. They are blu-ray and can burn ants. its around 80-100 mws at 100-120mA. I'll leave the rest up to you.

    Phr build!!

it depends on your driver. If your using something similar to the the Flex Drive with the holes then you need to use wires. If your using a Rkcstr then you can just solder it onto the diode. However I find that wires do just fine and prefer it more.
