Are there any videos of what a >5 W laser can do? Like I would like to see how it burns, cuts and looks. Does anybody know of any media I can check out?

It would be neat to be able to buy a non-IR laser that packed a huge punch. > 5 W. Think about the damage (under proper and safe conditions of course) you could do with that!

Ok I just purchased the Spartan from Dragonlasers. I figured it is a quality laser that i would probably want to keep forever so i will play with that for a while and then upgrade to a RPL later. Thanks for all your input.

well based off of the point you are trying to make i will say green is least powerful followed by red and then blue is the most? But base off of the picture the green is definitely brightest followed by red followed by blue

So if you were looking for a bright beam and you decided on the 532nm wavelength then increasing wattage will increase brightness in beam?

Got ya... that puts it in a good perspective. Is there like a chart or something that ranks the brightness of wavelengths in respect to the human eye (i hope that isnt a dumb question)

See when i ask about the brightest beam it seems as though everybody immediately goes to green lasers. I dont know why but i feel like a 1 watt blue laser would be crazy bright. Really i think any upgrade from my Aries 125 would seem a lot brighter... I just want to see the beam in...
