Also, my original plans for this setup was to use the M21G convoy host, which would have a heatsink diameter closer to 45-48mm. But for prototype/testing purposes, I was going to use the M21A/E heatsink size, installed into a C8 host with the battery extension tube to allow for higher power...

Good information, I like that you backed up your argument with proper information- But you’re forgetting that there will be 2 fans and a additional heatsink on the outside of the original heatsink to cool down the hot side.. obviously the efficiency of this design would depend on a few things...

Man, I can’t wait to get my hands on one, I knew it would be a good diode but I didn’t expect 10W!! I wonder how much better the 7W diode will perform??
