I don't think they work that way. Even if they did, I'd never trust my eyes to it. I'm pretty sure they'd reflect the wrong wavelength. I'd much rather play it safe and use officially certified sheets like the ones I linked to.

Thanks Steve, that's exactly what I needed! Actually, with a bit of searching, I found this: KTP and Argon Laser Safety Window $139 for a 12"x12" sheet sounds pretty darn good to me! I could make at the very least 4 pairs out of that. OD 4+ for the 445 range would cover my most powerful laser...
