    Pin polarities

Hi I am a little confused with what should be postive and negative in this pin configuration. I tried 1 -> positive and 2 -> Gnd. But I dint see any light at the threshold current and operating voltage. Could anyone help me out on this.

hollow cylinderical ring to hold laser module and module mount

Hi, I have 5.6mm laser diode modules built and I have 0.5 inch laser mounts from thorlabs. There is a gap of approx 1mm between the mount and the module. Since we need extreme rigid and stable setup , we are thinking of to machine cylinderical metallic ring to fill the gap. With a M2x3 screw...

laser driver running at 150-200MHz ??

The reason for 200MHz eh ? The laser diode should be pulsed at 80-200MHz ( which is generated by a data generator ) The reason for pulsing the laser diode is to use CDMA coding network , therefore each laser diode is pulsed with a unique code and decoded at the user end. That is the simplest...

laser driver running at 150-200MHz ??

Hello all, Does anyone have any kn0wledge of where I can purchase a laser driver with the following specifications: CW up to 200MHz up to 200mA current control supply voltage range from 3 to 5.5 V So far I have known about only two of them and my bad luck one of them is obsolete. AD9660...

Can the driver circuit be used for a pulsed Digital input ??

Explain what is happening here ...

I checked with both (below mentioned ) power supplies: 1. Agilent E3612A 2. TENMA 72-2005 Laboratory DC power supply

Explain what is happening here ...

Hello, Below are two figures that show the output from a Laser Driver Board , running pulses at 80Mhz. 1. The power to the board Vdd and gnd is connected via a DC POWER SUPPLY. View image: DC Power Supply 2. The second figure is when the Vdd and gnd is connected via a 5V battery. View...

    Multi-Spectral laser driver

As for your question on driving frequency ... The input to the LD is a pulsed TTL (0-4.8v) input from a data-generator , we can reduce the rate but the sampling rate wont be good ... This pulsed input signal is basically CDMA coded so that we can identify the final Image and separate them...

what do you guys think about this LD driver board ...

    Multi-Spectral laser driver

I agree ... That is the exact problem I am breaking my head on ... The rate at which I pulse the LD is the problem ... Impedance mismatch is a one thing that worries me ... :tired:

    Multi-Spectral laser driver

How about LVDS ??? Its possibly better than TTL right ?

    Multi-Spectral laser driver

Hi, I am doing a multi-spectral experiment. I have 4 different 5.6mm lasers : 445nm, 405nm, 638nm, 655nm. The input to these lasers is a pulsed TTL signal running at 80Mhz. I want a pot on the driver so that I can calibrate the current at the output side , so that I can make sure all the 4...
