    One sided diffraction grating

They're just some mini pots. Possibly for setting the laser currents (they're labeled HD, DVD and CD) thought they may be useful for something one day...

Military  glasses With laser lens 19.99

Re: Military Laser glasses 19.99 (old style?) "An included green laser protective lens attaches to either Set" The green laser lens on the brown goggles actually gives good protection for Red/IR/Blue lasers, and moderate protection for lower powered green ones.

Achieving a smaller beam diameter with 803T optics

Re: Achieving a smaller beam diameter with 803T op Well I've fallen at the first hurdle. I can't for the life of me get the back off the lens nut :-/

    Neodymium iron boron

I've got hundreds of the things, big and small, just another of those fun physicsy things like lasers I can't help collecting. ::) I'll post a picture when I go home next weekend. The newest addition is 20 small ones out of the PHR-803T sleds. :)

    One sided diffraction grating

I've been playing around with the little goodies to be found in the PHR-803T sleds today, and have a question to ask about one of diffraction gratings. So the black and white ones in the lower right make the usual linear diffraction pattern: The ones on the top right however make a similar...

strange lens in phr 803t sled

It's pretty good at splitting a green beam into two fairly equal ones :)

BR PHR-803T Sleds or DIODE $13.50 FINISHED. DONE

Re: BR PHR-803T Sleds or DIODE $13.50 Shipped Anyw As soon as I put my name down for one... a cheaper one comes along! Haven't committed myself to it yet though, so you can you put me down for 3 sleds?

    Maximum voltage?

I tried it again with a capacitor and 3.1V input and this time it started off nice and bright (I say bright, I mean about 5mW) but then seem to slowly decrease in brightness by about a third to a half - and there it stays. The voltage measured across the diode was 2.35V when using both 2.7 and...

    Maximum voltage?

Thanks for that Dave :) I only ask because after the 2.7V (flat CR2) I connected a fully charged CR2 (measuring 3.1V) and the diode suddenly became an LED. I'm not using a capacitor though so I guess there was a spike which surged its way through the driver and killed the diode. The driver's a...

    Neodymium iron boron

Yep! The big silver part in the bottom right houses some NdFeB magnets, it's what makes the actuator arm be able to move so fast. The size and amount vary depending on the drive, but even the smaller ones (about half an inch square in size) will happily leave little blood blisters if you catch...
