The Dragon Lasers 50mw 589nm Spartan has been on my wishlist for ages, though I foolishly procrastinated too long in buying one. Their site no longer has them listed and after reaching out to Adam, it doesn’t sound like they will be in stock again. I prefer the Spartan host to the others offered but if worst comes to worst, I might look into a Hulk Ultra. Anyways, I figured I’d hop on here and see if anyone was willing to sell their Spartan. Thanks!

Holy moly.

Nice to see you on here and back in the laser world again XM ;)
It sure has been awhile! Thank you for your kind words. I sold off many of the lasers I never use as work consumes nearly all my time. I’m trying to put together a smaller collection of only my favorites. And the 589nm Spartan is definitely on that list! Along with a Spyder II, my 7W 445nm Striker, and my 1.2w 520nm Challenger.

I hope DL gets them back in stock again, so that you can get your hands on one; I don't know of any other reputable sellers who still offer 589nm these days. :(

From the sound of Adam I don’t think they will :(
I’ll just have to keep my fingers crossed on LPF

Do you have a sanwu RGB ?
It appears to make a very good looking yellow beam ( R+G ) and will be a hell of a lot brighter.
I would get the sanwu RGB before buying the Spartan myself but I know your need/want/purpose may be different.

I have an RGB laser module that I mess around with every now and then to get yellow. But I do have a soft spot for a true 589nm and the Spartan host seems very similar to the Spyder II, which is my favorite host of all.

Yea, I also have a RGB that makes a nice yellow beam but I know dpss is very good as far as beam quality but there is mode hop and thermal sensitivity.

The sanwu RGB from what I have seen is very good, the direct RGB beams all match well as for beam specs and are well aligned, I haven't taken the plunge yet but it's on my list.

This sanwu pic by Arcticdude sure looks good.

As far as the USA is concerned, it may be very difficult to get a Class IIIb pointers and above. When I ordered a 589 nm module from CNI, they told me they cannot ship portable lasers to the US due to restrictions. Also, there is a hefty import tax which increases the cost substantially, even for OEM parts coming from China.

Wow that’s a great looking shot, maybe I will have to look into that unit!

That’s too bad, I’m late to the party on this one. Hopefully someone in the US ends up putting a used one up for sale.

Did you manage to get a deal with Brendon? I may have a perfect opportunity you can take.

I am also in the market for a 589/593.5nm, but I'm not in any rush to get one. XM has priority 😉
