Great shots, Andrew. You can tell it was windy. Just look at how the stars were being blown around. :tinfoil:

Thanks Jeff, you have a keen eye, yes I was experimenting with a new technique on my camera, it's a long exposure composite.

Still waiting a few more ball heads for the s.clamps, it will have 8 all together.

Few shots from last night..

I came back home from work yesterday and browsed Stellarium App on my laptop. I realised that there was small time window when moon was staying below the horizont for an hour after sunset. -And there was a slight chance to see Milky-way during that time.
I grabbed my camera and gears went out.. It wasn't as dark as I hoped but I'm quite happy that I was able to see it again. :yh:

I think they came out pretty good considering how much light you had to deal with. Very nice, buddy.
 
Very nice Arctic. Impressive as always. Noticed you have a cap and a what looks like a window on your Laser. Was wondering what it might be? :gj:

If mean that green light on the body, it's a illuminated side switch. Like these ones >> (1x 26650 host is PLP520-B1)

:oops: , there were two typo's there (I fixed them). I was talking about both "cap and what looks like a window"

I see, the lighted switch shows up quite bright. I remember this thread, very good looking lasers. Thanks for the link, loved them than and still do . Keep the pics coming. :)

Beautiful set of photos from the other night, AD, that's an amazing amount of visible stars with it still being that light out! :kewlpics:

I remember that thread also, and I agree, very nice looking lasers, love that flip lens cover. :)

Love the star fields and beams.
What I plan to do one night is to do a full 'Star Trail' photo with the lasers.
I was experimenting that night to see if it's possible with my setup and I think it is, just that it was so windy.
Keep them coming and thanks for sharing.

Yes, I have same problem with multi wattage lasers sometimes.. Those are a bit tricky when you are shooting in very low light conditions.
It's not always easy to find the right exposure settings if beams are really really bright and ambient lightning is very low.

That's why I'm using remote tailswitch setup that I mentioned..
If you will use normal tail switch ON/OFF it can cause beam shaking on the picture.
Using remote tail switch laser stays complete still and makes your photo shooting much more easier when you can control you laser behind the camera.

Here's few examples from yesterday. These pictures have taken with 10-14sec exposure and NUBM07E was lasing only 1-3sec during that time.

I finally went through memory card from my old Panasonic.
Just one picture is barely good enough, rest of the pics are too blurry and unfocused. :yabbmad:
I need improve my setup for long distance pointing / imaging.

That's not bad for an 07 diode. I always love it when you can capture the stars in your beam shots. I owe you a rep as I can't do it now.
