The good people at Jetlasers and DHL accidentally sent my new 473 to a gentleman in Maryland. I wonder what he thought when he opend the package?
Fancy flashlight I would guess. Be nice if he returned it. Great laser for him to start his collection :) Jetlasers has already sent one to me,got the notice this morning.

Lucky stiff. My first laser was a red cat toy. : )

Let's just hope the unintended recipient doesn't try to turn it on, but puts the battery in the wrong way. That would be sad:D

Someone should send a letter to the recipient to explain how to use the laser and all about laser safety etc. Now that he has the laser he might as well be informed.

How powerful was it? Man I sure hope he sends it back. Sure don't like the thought of someone getting injured just from curiosity. And chance you know the exact address?

By the way Matt, I can't believe I don't have my safety slogan in my own sig. Got to go to sleep but I'll add it tomorrow. Thanks for inadvertently reminding me;)

I always dreamed of being that lucky person to have something you want arrive in your mailbox from a shipping address error. I would then return it though, of course.

I'm leaving it up to Jetlaser and DHL. Maybe he returned it. Perhaps he thinks it's a vaporizer. :) Either way, I hope if he figures it out he's careful. Guess I should have sent googles.

How do you ship to the wrong address in another city all together, unless you had his address in your system already?

Kinda wondering how they have sent you yours already while I'm still waiting for mine to be shipped 3 weeks after ordering. They keep delaying it, just like the last time when I eventually canceled my order. I guess they just don't want to sell me it for some reason?

It's because they aren't sorted by people reading the addresses and sorting them by hand. The sorting machine misreads the zip code and maybe the address too and ships it off to some other zip code somewhere else where it's sorted again and shipped out for delivery and someone doesn't always catch the error before it's delivered. I worked at a storage facility that also rented mailboxes so we got huge volumes of mail, we would regularly get something addressed to someone in another state, or have something mailed locally that should have been a next day delivery and not arrive for two weeks. We also had businesses that rented storage and would also get large deliveries of packages. USPS was much worse than Fedex or UPS, but UPS would sometimes make a mistake too. We would also sometimes get letters in a plastic bag that had been shredded and had a note saying something like "this was damaged by our automatic sorting maching, sorry for any inconvenience".

He/she would probably just assume flashlight or on the off chance hes somewhat knowledgable notice its a laser and do some research.

Just an update. My 473 arrived from Jetlasers yesterday. Compliments to them for getting it to me so fast. Haven't had a lot of time to play with it. It takes a minute or so to warm up, but then it was reading in the high 70's.
It is huge! Much bigger then an Arctic. Built like a Russian tank.
I'm a happy customer, and will be doing more business with them.
