I've had the impression that some of the (arts AND sciences) teachers in my academic career were complete idiots. I've often wondered if these teachers began their careers with enthusiasm, only to evolve into idiots due frustration resulting from student apathy.

In the first video, the narrator discloses the accused was attending college in preparation to be a physics instructor. I think it's clear idiocy begins young.

Not sure if anyone here has been following the unrest in Egypt, but recently I have noticed some careless laser use amongst the protesters:




Green laser being shone into a crowd:
