The article above discusses the QHE was seen manipulating photons. It's a decent read. What I enjoy most is they think the discovery could lead to circuits using photons instead of electrons.

Say bye-bye to heat degradation caused by circuit density and bring on three-dimensional design. Computing speeds could go through the roof.
