Dragon laser 445nm Spartan 1W output

I picked up a DL 1W Spartan 445nm a few months back, and have been fairly impressed by it's quality and feel. But, I just bought a laser power meter and what do you know, it's output is only 517mW at it's peak. Does anyone else have experience with this issue? I did a search and found a few threads saying DL was scamming people with exaggerated outputs, but that was 2007. I was under the impression most members have a good opinion of DL. I've asked them if it can be replaced or repaired, but I won't be happy if they charge me for it.

And what's up with this laggy-ass keyboard? I type a sentence and wait 5-10 seconds for it to finish in a big burst. Is it the updated forum system?
