Cyan and Yellow Beam DIY Made

Ok cool. Yea I went through that looking for the perfect yellow. Never found it except 577nm opsl. Those 571nm are pretty close but touch of green.

Driving two coherent fap modules in series

eBay find an older coherent driver for a Verdi. There is a gentleman on PL that does laser cutting. He may have a more practical idea. These are also serilalized so the actual driver might be a headache. The voltage is not so much the issue as really good current control

Cyan and Yellow Beam DIY Made

Let’s try and start this over. So you are looking for the best way to make a perceived yellow beam? I find 642/525 my nicest yellow but I have never been able to match pure 577nm. And I can not trim the edge noise even with a spatial filter. 532/660 works but it’s more brown. 543/632 is...

Driving two coherent fap modules in series

Not advisable. But is possible. But risky. What’s even more important is cooling. These arrays pop easily. I’d get the right driver for each. Will,it work yes maybe but maybe not for long.

Cyan and Yellow Beam DIY Made

Well combining his beams will never make other frequencies but I do it everyday with sum difference but my media is non linear and my peak power is way high. Yea this is like talking preschool. Maybe we should have a thread forum section for this stuff were we tolerate such questions. I don’t...

Cyan and Yellow Beam DIY Made

That’s why I want four color 638 577 532 460. That yellow matters. Be better with 607 added and 445 added. In that case I’d move the 460 to 473 and add the 445.

    Polishing Kryton Groove

Just reading along. If the base metal is copper or nickel you should be able to put a chrome plate on these that will shine up easier. Just a thought. I like mag wheel p9ish for alunimium I do my kitchen sink once in a while and makes it almost like a mirror. Lots of work but I get a kick...

    Path to orange - Advice?

It used a nitrogen laser pumping a dye laser. Power was pulsed in the 10-20kw range and it destroys the end of fibers like a knife in butter.

    808nm optics. collimators, cylindrical lenses

Plane ar coated optics should work at 800nm. There may be a small loss so check for heat if you’re in the 10w plus range but I’d try that first. Most coatings run 400-700. Since they are cheap try it. Looks like it rises to like 5% at 800 Well if you have t cyl and a pair of lens that would...

    TEA lasers: Replacing The Nitrogen

Let’s unpack this. Yes yea lasers pack a lot of power in short pulses. Yes this is really bad for your eyes. You should shield the uv so you don’t get exposed. Plastics are enough. Google which. Dyes in highlighters can vary so try them in ethanol. Other dyes are pretty toxic so wear...

    TEA lasers: Replacing The Nitrogen

The only other gas I found was XeCl. Which is expensive, toxic, and not recommended. It’s part of an eximer laser. Seems argon is used as a buffer in some nitrogen lasers but by itself does not lase. Same with helium. Google is your friend for these questions. I would not have know this had...
