The law restricts the purchase, use and ownership of "battery operated, handheld laser pointers". Meaning there are no laws against purchasing and owning laser...
Thank you @loreadarkshade for running this! My favourite and definitely most used is the pen style 2xAAA pointers. My ideal pointer is a black leadlight with the Sharp 488nm GH04850B2G. Shoutout to @RA_pierce for the most badass leadlight photo and collection  2nd favourite is 2x21700 for...
Thanks again @loreadarkshade !
That Pkpk seems quite good. @Giannis_TDM measured the SXD at 46mv pp at 1.7A and estimated roughly ~200mv pp at it's max output, so this seems good considering the price and intended use.
Wow that was quick! Thank you so much for the test results @loreadarkshade
Hmm that overshoot looks interesting. Not surprising though since the LED's used with this driver aren't nearly as sensitive as LD's.
@loreadarkshade How suitable do you think this performance is for LD's?
At 30A the P28B when fully charged will sag to 3.5v after 25s and has a capacity of 2400mah down to 2.8V at 30A. Bench test.
Let's use the Nubm44 and a 5A boost as an example.
The Vf of the NUBM44 at 5A is 4.84v:
NUBM44 power draw (W) = 4.84 x 5 = 24.2W
Now the best boost drivers are...
Looks totally sick! Agreed we need at least one commercially available host/kit that is setup for cylindrical lens correction. Many have done so here but as far as I'm aware none have been produced at quantities for sale.
That's why we need compact high amp boost drivers. Lazeerer is MIA and...
Looking forward to the comparison results.
True but the whole point of using the 25/30mm size is supposedly for better thermal performance, assuming they outperform a 12mm module in a 25/30mm heatsink.
@loreadarkshade Where are you getting the 30mm modules with higher surface contact? Are they...
Amazing! Will eagerly await your results ;) Personally I really like having a multimode driver (10%, 50%, 100%) for some lasers and that automatically rules out every driver we use designed for LD's (SXD, Flexdrive, etc).
