Yellow, or Orange ?

I under stand that both Yellow, and Orange have the same nm...... so is it yellow or orange..... ??

I believe Yellow is 575nm and Orange is 594nm which is what you see in most pointers. I could be wrong though.

I think amber is the term most people say it is. For a good representation of the color dissolve some salt in heet antifreeze, pour it on paper and light it and that orangish color is almost the same color of the orange/yellow laser.

There is no exact definition for this stuff. Radio waves, colors, etc are just kinda arbitrary ranges that diff people set differently.

593.5nm DPSS lasers are often called yellow lasers. If you want my opinion just from looking at the color, they are more orange than yellow, but I recently had a 5 year old put it better than anyone else: Orange.. maybe a litto yellowy.
