Wow dude that’s amazing. I’ve been a serious laser guy (15 laser collection) since I got my first blue from Rick Trent many years ago. I might reach out to him to see if he could build one of these.
Thanks for that info I didn’t know any of that. The hornets were buzzing around my kid and I didn’t know they were good for much of anything. I wanted to avoid spraying poison on my hizzle
I have a project I’ve been contemplating that would require a high powered blue laser diode or even better one of those 95 watt arrays.
To preface this, I’m not trying to build a laser weapon or walk around lighting stuff on fire.
Wait for it…
An LEP searchlight. I have half a dozen “white...
Man that’s a bummer. I have a project I’ve been contemplating that would require a high powered blue laser diode or even better one of those 95 watt arrays.

Ya I’m not as clever as you guys. I’ll just live vicariously watching these videos :)
Totally agree on the safety. I’d keep something like that locked in my gun safe when not in use.
Thanks for the great info! I just watched the laser rifle video and I’m thinking how great that would be to have. I wonder if anyone on the forum would be able to build one for me? That might be an inappropriate request though.
I’m ridiculously obsessive about eye safety. I pop on my goggles...
I’m fascinated by IR lasers but a little fearful of them too. I have a whole drawer of high powered green, blue, red, and violet and I’m careful to have goggles on even when changing batteries. But the invisible beam aspect of IR is crazy! I might get a low powered wide divergence for some night...
Wow very exciting. We saw a huge hornet nest on our roof when we came in yesterday. Had to bust out my 7.5 watt blue Sanwu.. Burned the nest and picked off the little bastards as they flew out from about 10 feet.
Very nice!

The “3.7 volt” thing caught my eye. I usually charge my batteries to 4.2 volt. I wonder if doing so in your case could damage your device? My chargers allow me to set the max voltage and the charging current
I’ve been using 3000 mah Samsung 30q for years… they hold their capacity really well too over many charge cycles.
This site might help you too: http://batteries.parametrek.com/index.html?size=18350&features=flat%20top
Be sure to know if you need flat top or button top. I ordered the wrong...
That’s interesting I’ll have to read up on that. It would seem better to double 808 to 404 and have a single step but I’m sure there’s a reason that isn’t possible
I think that most green lasers use an infrared diode and a frequency doubler. I wonder if you could do something similar with your co2 laser and get a visible green beam in the 10 to 20 watt range?
