That's one insane unit you had back then 😮(y)
Thanks for the input, it gives somewhat of an idea on what I'm getting in to.
Yeah, I've noticed. ElectricPlasma made good hosts a few years back, he's disappeared unfortunately. :(
That's very sad to hear. I had been considering buying a 573 nm module from them earlier.
Hopefully you get this resolved. They seem to be legitimate, so I'd assume it's a honest mistake.
The delays in communication are truly weird though. Best of luck!
It doesn't need to run for long, can be operated within a duty cycle.
I had got the impression that these high power modules from cni get way too hot for even a small duration of usage with passive cooling.
That host has extra wiggle room for the 26 mm diameter but is way too short for the...
I'm in need of a host and driver for the CNI PGL-H1-532-800mW module.
cnilaser.com/PDF/PGL-H1.pdf
I've been in contact with CNI, and they said that the module's shell temperature needs to be kept at 25℃ strictly.
Is this even possible without active cooling i.e. using a heatsink alone? (I'm...
Purchasing any ready product in this case is pretty much out of the table.
Maybe JetLasers will cook up something in the future. 🤷♂️ Feel free to post if you find anything.
Hey, that's a solid suggestion! Thanks (y) I didn't even consider checking out CNI for whatever reason 🤦♂️
I personally haven't found many options.
There's the hercules from LaserGlow and some 1000 mW one from HighLasers.
Don't even know if the latter one is legit in terms of power output. The host looks familiar though. Reseller maybe?
I'll keep looking.
PS. I also consider a module alone an...
Oh, thanks for the info. I've contacted Gray through email. (y)
EDIT:
@Encap Got a reply from Gray at JetLasers.
Unfortunately, they're currently out of the required crystals for the higher powered ones.
They're trying to source them so maybe it will be possible in the future.
Yeah, I've been looking at the hercules but considering I'm from Finland and Laserglow is from Canada, our customs will most likely seize it.
Preferably I'd order from inside Europe. Also, will be interesting to see what results you get with the beam correction module. Good luck.
I'm aware but...
Hello, it's been a while since I last visited this forum 😅
What I'm looking for:
-500+ mW
-532nm DPSS
-low beam divergence
-quality host with a good thermal solution
I've done quite a bit of research, and it seems that many popular sellers from back in the days have closed shop.
JetLasers...
If wanting to achieve maximum efficiency for eg. burning/cutting/engraving which would be a better choice:
1. To get a beamexpander which would make less power come out of the lens but it would be focused on a smaller area.
Or
2. To leave it with just a g2 glass lens which would have a bigger...
Thanks for the well informing answers! :yh: I have read about laser safety hazards but never realised the potential danger of the reflective light from normal surfaces. Going to use them from now on.
Never had any of this to be honest. If somebody didn`t understand my question, my main worry is the light reflecting from the surface which i am burning. I have never had any eye strain or damage using up to 3.5 W handhelds for this. Mainly haven´t used goggles because i am sure that i will not...
When burning stuff on any surface how dangerous is it to look at the dot of this monster? I don´t usually wear goggles when burning stuff with handhelds from 50 mW to 3.5 W so i need to know.
TLDR: Does it damage your eyes looking at a dot of an 7W handheld laserpointer ? ( I don`t wear goggles...
