    4W laser without optics

Is the reflection of a 4W laser without optics as dangerous to my eyes like the reflection with lenses? I have googles but I need to be sure

Paralele beams on the same spot or converging beams for a projector

I admit, I lack experience so yes I am irresponsible

Paralele beams on the same spot or converging beams for a projector

Excuse me for being honest with what I want. How can I be safe when I am labeled as a troll and not receive helpful information?

Paralele beams on the same spot or converging beams for a projector

I want to build a projector with multiple lasers, but creating a knife edge array is not that simple. If the beams converge on the first mirror and are not parallel, I assume that they will create different patterns for each laser at an angle

Is a PC 450W PSU good for powering drivers?

I got 450w PC PSU is it safe to use it to power laser drivers?

    New and hungry

I understand you but I think you guys exaggerate a bit with the eye danger not many people have been injured by lasers

    New and hungry

:lasergun: this is what I want but is to expensive so I will settle with a projector

But we got of topic, will a mosquito get disabled by a projector even if it a low 4w or a 20w? Also I will build this projector, I will order 5 lasers this is not trolling

    New and hungry

I know that there are risks but I think the benefits outweigh the risks

    New and hungry

You are right, but I realize that I can't track mosquitoes in real time so a 20w laser array projector maybe it will do the trick so nothing gets missed

    New and hungry

It wouldn't be as much fun, but it would be cheaper Even with a 4w laser i need to track it, but if the lasers are so dangerous for eyes why not just blind the mosquito ?

laser bug zapper is a real thing, and they stared with 12w IR lasers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fH_x3kpG8Z4https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzJo9fp7Z0Uhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fH_x3kpG8Z4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzJo9fp7Z0U

The "Hit in eye with 1000mw 445nm blue laser" was 60cm from the laser so for a 4w laser it would be very dangerous at 2.4 meters for my eyes don't know how this will work on mosquitoes Has any one build a bug zapper with lasers?

    New and hungry

If the power would be dissipated equally over the surface then it would be 10mw per square cm

    New and hungry

I am very curios to try to zap mosquitoes with the laser even if it isn't focused. Could the laser damage their wings at a distance?

    New and hungry

I will buy a IR 800nm laser so the blinking reflex won't help me in any way

    New and hungry

Thank you for your answers, the room is 5 meters long and I wanted to know if that kind of power is dangerous even if its not focused, in case I would look at the laser by accident

Is an unfocused 4W laser do dangerous at 5 meters?

Ok that was in the new comer section, my bad

    New and hungry

Thank you for helping me to clarify my question, the diameter will be 20cm and direct exposure

Is an unfocused 4W laser do dangerous at 5 meters?

I will buy a 4w laser, I want to know if the laser will be unfocused and have a spread of around 20cmx20cm(8"x8") at a distance of 5 meters. Will it be dangerous if it will hit the eyes?
