    Laser Stuff for Sale

I haven't done anything with my laser hobby for a couple of years now, so I am selling everything except some of my favorite handhelds. I would like to keep the entire lot together and am asking $90 shipped. Photos and item descriptions below: Two green pointers between 5 and 50mW, and one...

Where to buy LD Drivers Nowadays?

I've searched everywhere for laser diode drivers, but all the good ones were sold by people who have since left the business. The only ones I can find are DTR's X-Boost T-mini which is too expensive, and the Micro Boost Drive V1 which I've had bad experiences with. Where do you guys get your...

High V Battery, 1 Ohm R Test Load

I have two questions: How accurate is a test load composed of just a one ohm resistor? I calculate the current by measuring the voltage across it. Is there a battery the size of the 22600 battery that provides at least 5.5V? I need something that will fit in an MXDL host and will power a 1.65...

WTB: Heatsink for C2 UltraFire Host

I'm looking for a heatsink for the C2 UltraFire host. The one from this thread: http://laserpointerforums.com/f44/looking-host-click-me-51445.html I was wondering if anyone had a spare they were willing to sell me. Otherwise I can wait and have one custom made when my host arrives.

    Green Laser Diodes

Does anyone know what the latest update on readily available 532nm diodes is? Where could I get information on this kind of technology? Googling it didn't turn up anything.

Attaching leads from driver to host

I just got the Aurora C6 host for a laser I'm building, but I can't figure out where to attach the positive and negative leads to it. The part where the two wires go into the battery compartment is one solid piece of metal, so maybe I have to run a wire down to the spring?

Replacing the diode on an NIR laser

I have the 1 Watt NIR laser from Lazerer and was wondering if it would be possible to replace the diode on it with another wavelength such as 405nm or 445nm. I bought the NIR laser a few months ago and found that it is kind of pointless.

    New member from CA

Hello, I thought I would finally register here after spending a few weeks reading the threads. I am interested in lasers and photonics, especially building different kinds of lasers from scratch.
