Iam surprised you find these pots that sensitive on the top end. There pretty good ~+/-50mA on the very very top end 4.8A+. But if your comparing it to a multi turn pot then yeah these are sensitive.
To make them even less then what they are now it will keep brining the low range...
I will Clear up everything for you guys to end this.:)
I think you guys are not understand External op amp based drivers and how they perform on such small PCB drivers. Also The Numbers mentioned above for the offset are Way off then what you should be getting.
All External op amp bassed...
Amazing finished work Bob. That color is Just so pretty. Is that first picture above what it actually looks like in person.? Or is it more like the second picture above next to the blue ramjet laser.?
Bet you this laser never gets much higher then room temp.
I like the SS handles better. Gives...
Sorry guys iam still having trouble with LPF not sending me email updates on posting and just now seen this when looking through my threads for something. Have to create a new email account and try to link it to my old account to see if that will solve the problem.Hope it does as this is pretty...
The Glow is from the Ramp down i have on the driver as well as discharge of the Output Cap Discharging with the On board self discharge. Takes a Few Seconds.:)
You need to heatsink the driver and not use that heat blocking Temperature Kapton tape. This tape is designed to keep heat...
Great Results.. Forgot to post my stuff here.:) I have not had a chance yet to test the stock lens with some C-lens since i got my array's in but I have to try it this weekend. Looks interesting. Bob sent me some of his 6x C-lenses and they are great.:) Iam curious what results i can get...
No it will not be limited to 10A. That was Just at the time Years ago sounded like enough.LOL. 20A would be the MAX i have in mind but iam sure it could do more if need be.
I will more then likely OS the boards too to make is available for DIY since alot of it is Large parts it makes it easier...
Chris, That was an old Comment before i worked with Jeff.:) He was selling testloads at the time. Regardless of the Max rating.
At that time i had another testload i dint post after this thread died out that was an ADJ load to 10A. I posted about it somewhere on the forum.
I found that was the...
Here you go all.
Put it in the vice with just enough grip to hold the diode/can in place. Then Put a little side pressure on the diode and it pops right off.
Don't use a decan tool. I tried it and it doesn't work good and leaves a lip in place and not only that the can is too...
Thats Funny. The SXB is called the "Super X-boost" in full. Hence why i thought you where talking about it. I Dint know that was the name of his driver. Its similar.;)
Yes different drivers.:)
None the less What i said still stands if anyone is using the SXB-V8..:) or wants to use Boost. Buck...
TaterMay Yes. Several people have bought them from me already or from Flaminpyro for use with these 44 diodes.
The SXB-V8 can boost up to 5.5A for these diodes no problem. Plenty of Power.:) IMR battery is a Must.
That should be more then enough current for anyone but if need be until...
Its not a Ball lens. Its just the way the chinglish translates. Its an Aspheric
I got some good news for you that i dint pay attention at first.
I did a Test today with some more diodes with the stock lens left on it and found something interesting out.
The Lens is actually much near focus...
How can you say that it is indeed the Flash Point of my wire and with the application we are using it as.? Are you sure.? Not all 14awg wire is equal right.? Are you talking about just standard wiring.? Maybe the standard PVC low strand count 14awg wire that your running 20,30,60+ feet of in a...
Yes its called an Electronic Load. I understand that. But what iam trying to say is and maybe iam not explaining it clearly enough or your confusing the 2 of what iam saying but the voltage at Different loads will give you More Sag/Less run time. Iam Talking on the laser driver side of things...
He left out the important part of what the load voltage was at the Current's he was testing at. He is Saying in his Graph That with 5A Currant load the Cell is Sagging ~3.9V but he dint tell us what the 5A load voltage was at.. 3V 5V 10V etc.
A 2V 5A load will give you more run time and not sag...
