550nm dpss laser?

Hello everyone, recently I bought a 550nm dpss engineering sample module from eBay for $500, now they are selling 551 and 552nm modules for much less, can someone tell me how they worked? I think it works using a 980nm pump to pump a yb:ycob crystal to make 1100nm then frequency doubled with bbo to make 550nm

Due to their failure rates, I bet its just 976 to Nd:SVAP
