Heya all. I am looking to buy some of the Kryton laser barrels from way back. If someone has 2 or three they wanna get rid of please let me know. Thanks! :)
it's possible. They would for sure have to be broken down as the power supplies I used to have that are needed for larger pieces I sold not long ago.
Contact me on facebook as that's the easiest way for us to converse.
Ken "anodizers" Rowe
I remember ages ago when we didn't have anyone to machine our hosts or make anything custom. We had to shove our stuff inside flashlights and hope it all worked out with no supplemental heatsinking. Now there are many and this hobby has benefitted from it. I do anodizing and machining now...
yeah I have a lathe and turn out my own stuff now. Built this one specifically for the 7W, with a nice big heatsink head. Since wookasarts has issues with folks reproduction their lightsabers, I go for a completely unique look with each and every one.
I got me a x-boost v7, and haven't a clue what it is setup as or how to find out what it's capabilities are since I've been out of this game for so long. Can anyone help me determine what I've got and how to get the most out of it plz?

it's not that hard to drill it out for a 12mm module. I've done quite a bit of modifications to these hosts over the years since they were my babies.
Also, if you want to quickly remove the anodizing without any work, a very simple method is to mix 1tbs of lye into one cup of water and put...
I love how you can see the air being heated up around the laser dot. Very cool technology. I have a friend on facebook that was playing with one and his vape gear.
I hadn't really considered it, but now that I've my own machine, I probably could. Just have to find those that are interested. Right now, I'm having more fun building the light sabers that are vapes.
well, by stable I meant non flakey diodes. There were a bunch of diodes out there when I left that were all over the board for output power. one diode at 900ma output 700mw, and a different one was outputting 1.2W at the same current. I am really liking the NUBM44 diode.. looks good.
