Hey all.
I have a customer who needs 5mW Green Laser modules for an industrial tool he is creating. His tool has generated interest in Germany, Africa, the United States and a few other countries.
I have been sampling some of the cheaper modules (i.e. <$10) but they have been completely...
Re: GB ROUND 2 OPEN for 10W RF EXCITED CO2 LASERS!
Ok, thanks very much.
I have a small understanding of PWM's but I'll go and read up on it.
Could this laser be used for engraving? Also, would I need to get a collimating lens if I wanted to use it over a greater distance, or is the divergence...
Re: GB ROUND 2 OPEN for 10W RF EXCITED CO2 LASERS!
Ok, great.
I can get a power supply pretty easily.
I have read the thread and saw the dutycycle info. Would it be possible to purchase one of your controllers Tottish? They look good.
So is this the TTL thing found on labbies and laser show...
Re: GB ROUND 2 OPEN for 10W RF EXCITED CO2 LASERS!
So, for the all in one kit, is it completely ready to use?
I am very interested in acquiring one of these.
Is the PWM to cycle the laser on and off, or what is it for?
Re: GB ROUND 2 OPEN for 10W RF EXCITED CO2 LASERS!
Wow, this is quite an amazing field of electronics.
I have been interested in acquiring a CO2 laser for quite a long time, but couldn't figure out how to get such a fragile CO2 tube over to South Africa without paying a fortune.
What would I...
I think it was $320 including shipping to South Africa and Datalogging
I have tried running it in Compatibility mode and anything else I could think of.
I know the COM port and have tried other software with it. None of them worked, which leads me to believe that the incompatibility is with the...
Hey all
I recently acquired a Kenometer from Kenom.
I firstly want to say well done to Kenom, it's an amazing meter with great capabilities for this low price.
If anyone is looking for a meter, get one of these and you won't look back. 8-)
Now, the software and Data logging works fine on...
Ok, thanks Rog.
It is a lot more understandable now. ;)
I'm just trying to think how this whole thing works.
Is it that the more light falls on the cell, the more resistance it has or less?
What resistance Photo cell should I get?
Ok, thanks a lot Rog
Another Idea:
I want to use this to run the siren for x seconds/minutes.
The start button is just a momentary switch, so I should be able to switch it with a relay right?
It is a kit, so I can modify it.
Then for the Remote, the relay from the receiver can just activate...
Ok, great thanks.
So when a Relay is switched on, it stays on until when?
How do you turn it off? I don't exactly understand.
If any of you have time, could you draw it up that's more undersandable for a noob like me?
Thanks very much
Jonno
Thanks very much 8-)
I was thinking of using this to remotely turn the system on/off.

And then this as a remote...
Thanks very much guys ;)
So that will turn the alarm on until it is turned off?
What kind of relay would I need? (I'm a complete electronics un-understander, although I wish I took some course in it).
And a normally closed I can just get whatever right? Then when that is pressed, it deactivates...
Hello all
Well, i live in South Africa, and as I'm sure many of you know, we have quite a bit of crime going on.
So... I was looking around for some kind of outdoor security thingy and came accoss this:

It is perfect. Just gonna build...
Hello all
I was wondering if you know of a place to get the actual moduls that are inside the pointers.
I am looking for 5 - 200mW.
Kenom gave me a great idea to make my own lasers and sell them, so I want to get some Kryton Barrels and make them a bit bigger in the middle so I can fit a green...
