Oh alright. Thats a great response thank you. The reason i didnt type it into google is because i wasnt really sure how to word it in any way that wouldnt take a paragraph hahaha. Although thats my terrible researching "skills". Im young and incredibly new to lasers. Theres so much to learn...
I wasnt challanging your reasoning. I was asking you why you said what you said, I am ignorent here and i came to ask a question. Theres no need to become defensive.
Hi all.
So recently ive just made a 120kv 127mA high voltage dc power supply. With it I plan to make a TEA laser and a throught crossed my mind. Is it possible to pressurise a chamber between the two electrodes with argon gas and expect it to lase with a blue~ light? I find changing the color of...
I assume its a laser diode array. Its absolutely gorgeous, incredibly beautiful. reminds me of that one minecraft achievment "Bring Home The Beacon" hahah
Hey all. Its my birthday soon and id like to celebrate by bringing a new laser pointer into this world.
I would like some help in finding a 1W 5.6mm laser diode, preferably within the blue range for reasonably cheap, hopefully under 30 AUD.
Could you help me in finding a laser diode that fits...
Great. I think the 10cm will do, but do correct me. Ill be using indium foil as and efficient heat transfer from the LDA and the radiator with the addition of two of the fans you recommended. I did some math regarding its output power based on the slope efficiency of the laser. Assuming 3.8A i...
Wow thats awesome thank you for the note. Good thing i told you otherwise i would of killed this 340$ laser diode.
Which heat sink out of here can you recommend? How do you pick the right heatsink? (LPF didnt let me reply directly to your comment)
I really appreciate the help.
EDIT...
How can i choose an effective heatsink? what do i know will work? Im planning to use a pc fan driven by a 6v high current Li-Ion battery pack + indium foil on the laser diode array. Id preferably like one of those circle heat sinks.
Thank you Ill keep that in mind. I am planning to run the NUBM37 125W laser diode array and I want to clear that 125W mark by feeding it a little over its recommended amperage of 3A, Perhaps 3.2A-3.5A, Could I calculate roughly what output power id get?
Salutations all!
I have some questions regarding how much you can push a laser diode resonably. Its quite common practise to run laser diodes at a higher-than-recommended current to squeeze out as much output power from a laser diode. I feel as though this is a stupid question, But whats a good...
yeah thanks bro. I tried exactly as you said, I managed to crack the glass but the lens was pretty much it. I also destroyed the leads completely.
So now that my laser diode is kaput, ive checked out the NUBM47
Would this be it? it looks extremely powerful. By the looks of it I could just buy...
