This guy has some nice looking lasers with impressive specs and prices.
8w 470nm US$195 with shipping.
Does anybody have recent experience? I only found some old posts.
The red dot did not make a new appearance with almost discharged batteries. If I were you I wouldn't believe me, but I swear I wasn't using any hallucinogenic drugs. I have seen it before. If it makes a reappearance, I will grab a photo.
The lasers are Sanwu Challenger II 445 nm 3 W and Sanwu...
I went to get a photo and the red dot did not appear. Both lasers were running on low battery when I saw the dot. I didn't know this at the time. I just put in fully charged cells and there is no more dot. I'll discharge them and then get a photo.
I was making a list of the parts I would need to make a laser. DTR's Laser Shop has a 4W 465nm Diode in 12mm Module for $65. The No-Diode Host bundle at Survival Laser, capable of driving this diode, costs $240. Jayrob's NUBM07E 465 DMag Shorty costs $307. Total cost is $305 - $372. The Sanwu...
I have seen mixed reviews for Laser Pointer Store here on LPF. Their prices are 30% or 40% lower after shipping compared with buying from Sanwu lasers. Sanwu charges $40 just for shipping. The only negative I've seen is Laser Pointer Store does not have the newest Sanwu products. I bought a...
If I only need 10% accuracy, will it do the job. I'm new here so I'm not sure of my accuracy requirement. There is a new 20 W LPM on Laser Pointer Store. $145. Is it also a toy?
I looked for reviews on YouTube but could not find any. It is new at Laser Pointer Store. Price is $145. The reviews for the Pocket Laser Power meter are not great. Accuracy is about 7%, and it can't truly measure up to 10 W. Does anybody know if this new LPM is good? Accuracy, fast response ec.
I did, and they just gave me the spec from their web page. Like I said in the OP something is not right. A 5 W 445nm would have much more heat to dissipate than a 50 mW 505nm. Also, Laser Pointer Store has different specs for the same product.
I did find a good answer in one of the Official...
I ordered the Sanwu Challenger II 445nm 3W from Laser Pointer Store. It should arrive tomorrow. The Sanwu web page says duty cycle is 60 s on, 80 s off for all Challenger II lasers regardless of power and wavelength. The Laser Pointer Store web page says 405nm (60 s on & off), other Challenger...
The speed of light only limits cause and effect between locations. You could point the laser at one side of Saturn and then quickly point at the other side. The dot, if you could see it, could move faster than light, but, the movement would not happen until about 1.5 hours after you moved your...
I bought these from Survival Laser. $50 + $5 shipping. I will use them with my 3W 445nm Sanwu Challenger II. They fit comfortably over my glasses. What does $150 get that these don't have? Are they glass and more scratch resistant? There appears to be no upper limit on price. I've seen prices...
I believe we are supposed to introduce ourselves. I just got my first (> 5 mW) laser today. The Sanwu pocket 445nm, 500 mW. I have the Eagle Pair OD6+ for that color range. Of course I only see a dim dot through the goggles. After checking for aircraft, I will point it at the sky. Then pop some...
Good luck trying to educate many people on the proper use of engineering units. I'm an electrical engineer. It hurts my ears to hear wattage instead of power. It's even worse to hear ohmage instead of resistance. But, they are both accepted as valid words in Merriam-Webster and other...
