Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please
Oh, that would never happen. I've had much experience selling items that people never paid on, and despite not allowing any returns eBay forced me to pay return shipping along with the return... One item was a...
The exact build will be revealed as a build thread once it's finished, which will probably be within the next month or so. But I'm using two Fasttech 5mW greenies, so rest assured that I won't be blinding myself or anyone else with it  And I won't be using this outside at all, so I...
A revelation! I can simply use a tilt sensor for my project, because the spinning motion will continue to press the ball inside against the poles, and it will be continuously on as long as it's spinning at a relatively fast speed. That also cuts the cost of this project down quite a lot, because...
Thank you so much! I knew there was another word for it, I just couldn't put my finger on it. Now I just have to figure out how to wire it, and I'm set :yh:
I'm currently planning for a project that involves spinning lasers around, and was wondering if there was any way that I could rig up a system that will allow the laser to turn on while it's in motion, and turn off when it's at rest. Preferably, the motion that triggers this would be quite high...
Beautiful shots as always, Arctic. I'd love to see some water shots like those last few, except with multiple lasers creating a multi-colored glow...
Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please
So I was searching around recently for some different wavelengths of red and came across many that advertised a huge spectrum of color, such as this 630-650 pointer. They're most likely all 650nm or somewhere...
I'm not completely sure that this is the only reason why, but it makes sense that they would make a rule to prevent people from making another account and giving rep to every post they make. It won't prevent them from doing so, but it at least discourages people from doing it simply because of...
Thank you then! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with, because I was planning to do the same thing. With the diffuser I have on hand, I'm not sure it's possible to get any good shots outside, but I'm still going to try. Good luck! :D
Probably a little bit less than that, actually. I also have some videos that I reversed to make it look like the laser is spitting fire :D
Might upload them to YouTube and share it here somewhere.
I've been lurking here for long enough, so might as well make a little contribution. Not professional by any means, but I believe I got some pretty cool-looking effects with my diffuser. All of these are of my ~~~1W eBay gatling. VERY pic heavy, as I had a lot to choose from :p

No problem! And Encap didn't mean to be rude, we just get a lot of useless spam and uneducated, unresearched questions on this site, and since the website you linked to didn't sell lasers, your post did seem like spam. No harm done!
My bad, wrong website. All the lasers they sell you can find for cheaper prices on eBay or Fasttech. They're the generic 303 and pen styles that you'll find everywhere, as they're being mass produced in China and are sold almost everywhere.
As for the quality, there really is none. Not one of...
Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please
I've seen a lot of reviews on them that say the laser was unable to even light matches, and that the beam was very skinny and dim. How is that possible if you managed to get ones that output more than a Watt?
