UPD: My portable builds with NUBM31/36: Rocket, Radar and Boombox

Thank you Farbe, maybe later I will try it. Back in 2016 I purchased blue-blue dichroics from them. Do you know if they still have those in stock?

UPD: My portable builds with NUBM31/36: Rocket, Radar and Boombox

It seems that many members who were interested in high power lasers yeas ago have disapeared from LPF and those who stay are more discussing politics than lasers today... After making a Boombox with 200W blue output I have tried to upgrade it adding 2 more NUBM36 MDP and raise the total output...

UPD: My portable builds with NUBM31/36: Rocket, Radar and Boombox

Here is the 3rd build which I will call Boombox. You sure know why - just take a look at this big black body from the Double Head XHP100 spotlight recently purchased on ali! First, I found that a big Al HS taken from an ice ceam maker couple of years ago enters into this body really well. Then...

UPD: My portable builds with NUBM31/36: Rocket, Radar and Boombox

This week finished another Steampunk build wich has same Al radar body as Styro used in his YT video. Main difference from the Big torch is the use of 2 same drivers, each is set to deliver 3A at 42V, so the chances are high that they do not cook as fast as one set to 5-6A in the Big torch...

UPD: My portable builds with NUBM31/36: Rocket, Radar and Boombox

This battery monitor has temperature input but I still have to replace the sensor by one which can be atached to the laser chip in order to monitor its temperature. Without this done I only tried laser for 30sec on, not longer. Maybe at the end I will have to replace this small fan by a faster...

UPD: My portable builds with NUBM31/36: Rocket, Radar and Boombox

Coocked 2 drivers one by one: first was set at 6A, second at 5.5A, now installed the 3rd one set to 5A, what is 2.5A through each LD row. And I decided that TK75 tube was too tight for the batteries with parallel adapter and thick wires which had to be pushed inside on their side. I replaced it...

NUBM34 Laser Blaster - 115+ Watts of Intense Blue Photons

Hi Hakzaw, From all these coolers/heaters I always throw away the cheap part (TEC) and fill the body with real ice from freezer. Only in this way they can cool well even 1000W laser, which I will make one day!

UPD: My portable builds with NUBM31/36: Rocket, Radar and Boombox

It must be almost a year since I saw on LPF last story about making a big torch with 100W power. These things were started by Styro, then by Trinh and then Smackitup has posted pics of his portable working from 1200W driver. But since then, no new builds... until last week when Kcc posted a YT...

I hope nobody pays this price NUGM array.

From specs I count that the efficiency of green NUGM must be around 14% and blue NUBM around 40%. So the green output watts will be more expensive.

    Handheld LaserGun - Osram PLPM4L 90Watts

Good! A new experimenter playing with high power MDP chip. I thought that this tradition has expired at LPF. Me too doing 3 different "laser guns" and these take a lot of time to find right pieces and assemble. One day I will post pictures.

I hope nobody pays this price NUGM array.

Yes, we still remember NUBM08 block for 1200usd when it first appeared at techhood store. And 2-3 years later we could have it for around 150. I think I will continue playing with blue NUBM36 arrays and once I have finished the setups for combining 2 or 4 of them, then blue chips can be...

    PLPM4L 656 Laser Array

And where can we find info about them? The only time I read about its existsance was your thread when you bought 20 for 300usd or like. They never appeared to me on ebay, nor in google. Is 656 the wavelength? Do you have specs or have you checked the WL by a spectrometer? Why not 630, 630nm red...

NUBM34 Laser Blaster - 115+ Watts of Intense Blue Photons

There are pictures of data sheet to the right of NUBM34 pictures at some ebay sellers. Like this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/124175337757?hash=item1ce96d491d:g:wBMAAOSwIuNer67q On main page it shows operating temperature 0-70ºC. However I think hat at 65ºC vs 25ºC you would loose 10-20% of...

Combining two NUBM36 with a PBS cube or by knife-edging prism method

    The beams in 35/38 are oriented like this: I I I I I I I I I I I I I I and not like this: ------- ------- You could get it only slghtly tighter by KE.

Combining two NUBM36 with a PBS cube or by knife-edging prism method

This week I have received the 2nd 1" Optically Contacted PBS for 450nm. Tested it and it works as fine as the 1st one. This Lighten Optics from Beijing seems to be a really trustful seller! And it has things which Thorlabs does not even have! Now I can start thinking of combining 4 arrays...

    Testing Laser Safety Glasses

My 2 cents into this discussion: The safety goggles are made to protect the eyes from reflected light when looking at the laser spot on a clear surface. No one should ever try looking into the reflected or even worse direct beam even when wearing best safety googles ever. Because if they stop...

Need a NUBM31T PWM driver -- Killing chinese ones.

I did not try PWM but I had a thread about how bad this so called "Driver designed for NUBM31" was. https://laserpointerforums.com/threads/driver-for-nubm31-and-for-similar-mdp-chips-sold-on-ebay-ali.107991/ Even the 5usd 250W specs driver from ebay performed better if it was properly sinked...

Combining two NUBM36 with a PBS cube or by knife-edging prism method

I was not writing here for a long time because in the summer it was better not to sit home. Not done may things but at least there is one test what I can add to this old thread now. After several months of waiting I finally received the 1 inch big Optically Contacted PBS for 450nm from this ali...

    Multiple beams

Biddy79, if you want these old M140 diodes I have a block from M140 wih 24 diodes and a block from H1650 with 40 diodes. Both I can give away for free. I do not think it would be so difficult to send them to UK from Spain even after all this Brexit story...
