Backburner project coming along. Now 100% functional!
not finished by far, but usable none the less.
guitar knob is just there because it fits the dial switch on the back.
considering using a different style knob if i find the right one :)
Internal focusing assembly, keeps module back...
Yeah, they're not terrible, but im always taking pictures of lights, lasers, flame effects, fire dancers, etc. in the dark.
My cellphone leaves something to be desired in these situations...
Cough**DSLR*cough ;)
I just checked, there are a few guys on youtube who have recently done this, but a lot of them are on the fingers, or hot glued POS. Lasergadgets has a cool one, but it's still an object you pick up and use.
Personally, I haven't seen one that can keep up as an item you can function normally...
Tree on other side of neigbors yard, past the headge another 100 feet and up about 50
See jayrobs thread for original beam HERE
Beam shots on trailer 20'-25' away
beam spread without lens, but shroud installed
Beam with lens, remember my phone camera sucks
same shot focused on the beam...
I built one of the original cree maglite mods years ago and love it.
:thanks: Jayrob
Only had to rebuild once after if rolled down a cliff and later that day, into the ocean, at night, and continued to work.
It shook the driver loose (was super glued at the time), and it failed a few weeks...
Yeah no prob. Happy to find a good way to "share" some of my "toys" with like minds.
Pictures haven't been doing it for me lately.
(Also it's a pain to resize every pic to post here... maybe I'm missing something)
Well maybe your desk isn't the best place for it. It made my computer do all sorts of weird. Starting things I didn't ask it too.
Plays music, solid state, good buy if you dont have something nicer already.
I've seen the same board as a DIY kit for $50.
This one for $10 good to go out of the...
To my understanding super conductors (graphine almost being one of them) work better when they're cold.
so it would make sense if the laser heating it up makes that spot work poorly, creating imbalance in the the applied magnatic force.

I want to do...
So i spent a few hours experimenting with my pyrolytic graphite, and condensed it down into about 10 min of video.
HARD-CORE NERDS ONLY
I got it to move around with my laser, but my magnets were too wide to get it to jump to the next flux pinning position. need smaller cube magnets, not the...
It does dovetail at the bottom
When in the housing that low of an angle is not used, the view port limits it within the range of the extra reflections.
Tried looking up the numbers, but no luck. Oh well.
Ta-Da!
the more i look at this thing the more i think its an image corrector for a telescope, but just a guess.
after hitting the collector mirror it would need mirrored again to straighten it out, rotate to any angle, and this would slightly enlarge the image similar to a beam enlarger... but...
Thanks for the info. Moving in the right direction!
So I went with dovetail keyword search, starting to make some sense of the translative effects... vaguely
However, my prism is not a right angle prism which means it's not a true dovetail, and has more going on in it.
The light path is more...
I found this prism a few years back and was amused with its rotational effects. When rotated around the viewing angle, the image rotates twice as fast as you move it.
I couldn't find any explanation, possibly because I don't know the correct search term to find it.
I took the prism out of its...
