Wait are these 3.8mm? If so they are probably the same as the diodes Junktronix had a while back. They are <445, multimode but with stupid good divergence (way better thn SM 445's). Of course they could be something else, but if they are those at least they aren't totally worthless (just not...
Re: FS: 520nm Build in Stainless Steel Side Clicky Host, also bulk "A140" 445nm diode
Changing times is all. Thats why i decided to get out a while back- before i lost all of my investment. Plus, with changing laws it's not smart flashing watts of laser around...and i moved to a more crowded...
Re: FS: 520nm Build in Stainless Steel Side Clicky Host, also bulk "A140" 445nm diode
Hey i thought i recognized that host :) was an ebay especialé :P
Right ol' pain in the arse to build with isnt it?
Not what i thought i would see when i stopped in. I always wanted to say something, but it seemed everyone had there fingers in eitans belt loop. I always wondered, how many years of failed orders and massive paypal disputes can happen before A) he realizes he cant run his business, B) everyone...
Use a bandsaw on the side of the block. It's soft brass. just cut slow.
And if you figure out a good way share it here. Keeping this a secret is the most idiotic thing I have heard of. I don't know why *certain* people treat it like an ancestral secret of the highest order.
Re: FS: Scientech 365 + 38-0101 Calorimeter
I don't believe these need cooling (of course I could be wrong). There are a bigger series of sensors for these, I dunno if that correlates to a need for heatsinking to go the full 20W or not.
(Great help, right?)
Re: FS: Scientech 365 + 38-0101 Calorimeter
Great meters, those. And if anyone is put off by the size, the internals are pretty small- one board and the display, so it couls easily be put in a smaller enclosure. There's also a thread here somewhere where someone added data logging to it. It's a...
Sale is over. Thanks everyone again for the business. Sold almost everything. The bit remaining (few drivers, diode mounts, some other stuff) will probably either be put up for sale again next time I'm on break, or given away.
Yes, god forbid anyone else knows how to get those diodes out.
Have you tried contacting techood on ebay? I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they had some still, or in the very least could get some for you. Why the interest in this particular diode? You would have to assume the newer diodes...
I thought they were hermetically sealed, meaning getting inside is more than likely going to be a real bastard. Have you checked Sam's laser FAQ to see if he says anything on taking them apart?
