People talk about DPSS having better beam quality than direct diode but I am comparing a 5mw DPSS with UV Filter to the Osram 515nm at 5mw .
Both supposedly have a 1.1 mm beam so not a square elliptical etc on the Osram ?
These are waterproof CR 123 Lasers with APC and glass lenses constant...
Laserto and Hilasers...
Both seem to sell 460nm Blues at 1 mw
5mw 20mw and 50mw.
Unfortunately they are "Pen " Style Lasers.
I asked Laserto if they will make a CR123 or Li- ion 16340 type Host with 460 nm.
Is 460nm a big difference in brightness and Color from 450nm ?
One Site says...
I wonder if there is interest in getting Lasers in various Colors in the fairly inexpensive Wavelengths ?
Nichia makes a lot of Blues and of course
we have Osram 515nm and there is a Japanese 635nm which is fairly inexpensive.
We may be able to set up a Group Buy where there is a number of...
How bright is it ?
Bright enough to cut through 1/2 Inch of steel.
And it will even pop light colored balloons, I assume.
The first direct-diode laser bright enough to cut and weld metal
It is 4 kilowatts ..so make sure you get really good goggles when this comes out in a...
I am thinking of getting a 5 to 10 milliwatt Laser in Green to have visible beam and would like a 18650 because my regular LEDs use them.
But it occurs to me that many Chinese Manufacturers are slapping the 5 milliwatt label on there ...but is it unlikely that a focus laser using 18650 would be...
So if you want to play around without goggles reflecting off walls etc. with a green laser- do you want to use a 5 mw or maybe 10 ?
Obviously, reflections could get dangerous at a certain point, provided there's no mirrors, what's the cutoff in milliwatts ?
Some have remarked that looking at...
I want a low power Green 10- 15 milliwatt that uses torch or flashlight style and with rechargeable batteries and clicky switch and IR filter.
It occurred to me that maybe I could get TWO cheap units and send BOTH to one of you MOD wizards and you could MOD one for me and install IR filter and...
Sold at NAPA Auto is a nice little LED/ Red Laser flashlight rated at less than 5 mw but a great little laser for playing with your cat. 7 dollars and in a very sturdy aluminum host.
I wish it was a green Laser because at this power a green might be bright enough to see the beam itself- the...
IF I had a verified NON overspec 10 mw green made with an IR filter, would this be safe for careful home use without goggles OR would it actually have to be 5 mw, then I might not see the beam.
IF I have to wear goggles anyway, might as well get a more powerful one but don't think I could...
Take a look at the links at the bottom of the page of two different units rated at 100 milliwatts and 200 milliwatts- one is supposedly available at abot 24$ and another about 45$.I wanted to get opinions on a few cheap green Lasers, a few of which are hybrids, with an LED Flashlight and a 5 mw...
New Guy on Forum-Are these for real at only 20 dollars or so I'm seeing 100milliwatt green lasers and at about 40- 60 dollars or so there are a few 150 mw units listed and even 200 mw for a few dollars more.
Some of the "reviews " are misplaced so it appears someone is using a 100 or 150mw...
Was thinking of getting a green laser to play around with carefully and legally , of course, and noticed one on Ebay, claiming to be "military" grade uses the lithium battery, but says only 5 milliwatts.
Guessing that since it says you can "see" the actual beam, it's really more powerful- it's...
