I can cite a couple reasons why not to make drivers.
0 inquiries for an entire year prettymuch qualifies as no interest
The DFN chips used are a real pain to reflow and very expensive.
Flak from interests who do not wish to see the proliferation of handheld lasers
Not doing anything risky with mine until/unless
someone does power testing
Plan is to shoehorn into a keychain, but don't
keep your fingers crossed! :na:
So many beautiful hosts! +rep and
just saw thread featuring my drivers :) !
They have grown up now gone out into the
world on their own to exotic places and all
still working AFAIK, feel like a proud father
685nm diodes have such tight divergence and
beautiful color
Have another Super...
C6 was originally an LED flashlight running at
350mA or something small like that? Heat
needs a place to go. Can't mount the round
X-Boost in such a way that the IC contacts
the pill
No. Looking at this picture here
The small black IC right of the yellow
arrow is the part that needs heatsinking.
Also it is shorter than the diode and
inductor so many design challenges not
really sure what the round ones are good for
That is good you can machine parts for it,
makes...
Depends on the exact C6 in hand, really but
ideally the heatsink also contacts the host
outer casing to get the heat out, else it gets
hot internally with no external indication
A good heatsink nearly fills the empty space
inside the host.
